Pixion Bolsters Executive Management Team

Laura Wallace, Director of Sales, Selected to Help Lead Company Growth and Address Increased Demand for PictureTalk Web Conferencing Solution

PLEASANTON, CA. – July 22, 2002 – Pixion, Inc., the leader in Client-Server-Client™ (CSC) Web conferencing solutions, today announced the appointment of Laura Wallace as director of sales. Wallace brings more than 19 years of enterprise software and Internet infrastructure application sales and sales management experience to the company.

As director of sales, Wallace will be responsible for driving the development and execution of Pixion’s overall sales strategy, as well as the establishment and management of the company’s strategic business relationships.

Prior to joining Pixion, Wallace served as vice president and general manager, North America, for SoftQuad Software, a provider of XML content creation solutions, where she led the company’s business development efforts, secured key alliance partnerships and drove record sales and revenue growth.

Before SoftQuad Software, Wallace held a number of senior-level sales positions with Lotus Development Corp., most recently as regional director, Western Region. In this role, she was responsible for spearheading the company sales programs targeting Fortune 1000 companies in the Western United States. Under her leadership from April 1998 through May 2000, the region delivered double-digit growth in both service and software revenue. Prior to Lotus, Wallace served as vice president, Western Region with Cambex Corp., and held various sales and sales management positions over a ten-year tenure with IBM Corp. Wallace holds a B.A. in mathematics and computer science from Vassar College.
