Pixion, Inc.'s 'PictureTalk' Software to Provide Distance Learning Capability for Siebel Products
Front Office Applications include ability to remotely train sales, service and call center professionals.
PLEASANTON, CA, September 8, 1999 — Pixion, Inc. (formerly PictureTalk), the leading supplier of Internet-based visual communication solutions, announced today that Siebel Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: SEBL) will utilize Pixion's PictureTalk technology in Siebel's Front Office Applications.
The distance learning solution allows customers to host live, interactive training sessions via the web, and allows organizations to be trained without ever leaving their desks. Instructors can provide training to users in remote locations quickly and efficiently; eliminating the costs and downtime typically associated with traditional on-site training sessions. The solution allows users to receive training when they need it, rather than waiting for classroom instruction. This "just in time" training capability makes end-user education easy and allows for faster disseminate of information.
Systems has been using Pixion's web-based presentation software for over a year to provide on-line training to its sales staff. Now Siebel will be able to offer its clients the same real-time distance learning solution.
