Sept, 2001 — Pixion Inc. Announces A Triple Digit Increase In Quarterly Revenue

PLEASANTON, Calif., September 30, 2001 — Pixion Inc., developer of the PictureTalk solution, a Web-based communication service that provides collaboration, meeting and presentation tools, today announced a direct sales revenue increase of 156% in the most recent quarter, ending September 30, 2001, from the previous quarter of the same year.

Due to the recent economic downturn, companies are increasingly being asked to do more with fewer resources. Pixion recognizes that the current business environment necessitates an increased interest in alternative meeting and collaboration solutions and has significantly stepped-up its marketing efforts in response.

"We are extremely pleased with our most recent quarter results. However, we have a vision of an ever expanding Web-collaboration marketplace, and we are accelerating our efforts to plan and execute strategies that will ensure a leadership position within this market,\" said Robert A. DeKoning, president and CEO of Pixion.

As part of its aggressive growth strategy, Pixion plans to market its PictureTalk solution through traditional direct sales channels, as well as indirect channels by enlisting resellers (VARS) and entering into partnership integration agreements (OEM's), in an effort to quickly increase revenue and build brand.

Web-collaboration has traditionally been a secondary mode of business communication, however, due to recent economic and political events, it's become a necessity, if not in some cases, the only option. It is this immediate increase in demand that Pixion plans to take advantage of in order to parlay its recent triple digit increase in quarterly revenue into sustained growth and long-term profitability.
