| Pixion Inc., Hires Robert A. DeKoning as President and CEO
PLEASANTON, Calif., October 10,
2001 Pixion Inc., the developer of the PictureTalk solution,
a Web-based communication tool, today announced
that Robert A. DeKoning has accepted the position of president,
CEO and board member. Since
its inception in 1995, Pixion Inc. has been
providing a Web-based communication solution that provides collaboration,
meeting and
presentation tools for one-to-one communication
or conferences with thousands of participants around the world.
DeKoning, who has over 20 years of technology experience, will be responsible for crafting and guiding the strategic and financial vision for Pixion.

DeKoning was previously CEO and
a member of the board of directors for Decision
Point Systems Inc., where he was responsible for guiding Decision Point
through an exponential
growth period that included the creation
and launch of the company's flagship product, HireProú, in 1997,
and its e-commerce initiative in 2000. DeKoning was also instrumental
in securing the company's
round of mezzanine funding, resulting in
$16 million in venture capital in April of 2000.
Prior to Decision Point, DeKoning was in the retail distribution and entertainment industry as senior vice president of operations for Rentrak Corporation (RENT), a $120 million, video distribution company. DeKoning went to Rentrak from Automatic Data Processing (ADP) where he was a vice president and senior executive responsible for product development, roll out and customer support activities for the company's $200 million technology division.

Additional to his business successes, DeKoning is also a pioneer in his community where he provides leadership and guidance to young entrepreneurs and companies. He is chairman of the Emerging Business Committee and a board member of the American Electronics Association (Oregon chapter), a board member for the OEF (Oregon Entrepreneur Forum) and president-elect and member of the board of the Association for Corporate Growth.
DeKoning is an Oregon native. He holds a BS in Management and Finance from the University of Oregon.
